+++  Due to circumstances beyond our control the Fashion Show planned for the evening of Wednesday, 9th May has had to be postponed.  +++  Camel Race Night has now been changed from its original date to Friday 29th June, from 7 pm to 9 pm +++

We are aware that on very RARE occasions it is necessary for some families/carers to take their children out of school during term time, however please bear in mind that this can have a detrimental effect on a child’s education. If you wish to take your child out of school during term time please ensure that you complete the application form and return to Mrs Barnes before booking a holiday/extended visit.

The Head Teacher will inform you in writing of his decision as to whether the holiday/extended visit is authorised (rarely) or will be unauthorised (usually).

If your child has not been given authorisation for term time absences please note that:-

An Education Welfare Officer may contact you to discuss the matter.

If your child goes on an unauthorised holiday/extended visit (20 days or more) then he/she will be taken off roll and will no longer attend this school.

When your child returns from an extended visit (twenty days or more), you must contact the school to make an appointment to see the Head Teacher if you wish your  child to return to this school as there may no longer be a place available for them.

We do understand that if your child has had excellent attendance record it is very disappointing for a holiday not to be approved, however schools are under increasing pressure to raise their attendance levels and term time holidays do have a significant detrimental effect on attendance figures overall.  If you have any queries concerning the above please contact Mrs Barnes or Mr Smith on 01706 631246, Ext 3011
