Our aim is to enable all young people, whatever their ability, to take part in and enjoy PE and sport. We will provide the opportunity for all pupils to improve and achieve in line with their age and potential. The promotion of health, safety and well being will be at the core of our philosophy. "The Government believes that everyone should have the opportunity to participate in sport. Getting school children into sport – and keeping them involved – is especially vital as regular participation can reduce obesity, improve fitness levels and, by improving concentration and self-esteem, can help attendance, behaviour and attainment." Richard Caborn, Minister of State for Sport and Tourism. (2004) WE OFFER An opportunity for every pupil to participate in fun, healthy, educational activities Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme A good range of out-of-class activities including; Athletics, Rounders, Volleyball, Cricket, Football and Cross-Country Running. WE BELIEVE THAT: All students can reinforce their perceptions about the importance of personal fitness in relation to their health and well being.
