Arts Award ‘Discover In A Day’ Visit to Yorkshire Sculpture Park with Year 7

A group of Year 7 students took a trip to Yorkshire Sculpture Park, near Wakefield on the 3rd of May 2018 in order to undertake their Arts Award ‘Discover’ qualification. Students spent time looking at the temporary exhibition on portraiture in the Longsight Gallery and then spent time looking at Promenade Art and the work of Anthony Caro. During the visit learners completed observational drawing, mono-printing and slot art. They spent time reflecting on their experiences and what they had appreciated in the contemporary art pieces they had seen. Many thanks to all those who came along.
