Opening Doors; Unlocking Potential
Duke of Edinburgh Award
The Duke of Edinburgh award is offered to pupils in Year 10. It’s an opportunity for pupils to take part in challenging new activities. The Award allows pupils to develop a sense of responsibility and independence, giving pupils the confidence to work with new people and develop skills such as team work, co-operation and leadership. These are all transferable skills that are applicable to a professional working environment. Pupils are taken out of their comfort zone and into a place where they will push themselves to succeed. The most important thing about the Award is they all have a brilliant time doing it.
Pupils taking part in the D of E Expedition should be in school for 8.00am with their fully packed rucksacks…
