Falinge Park High School
Opening Doors; Unlocking Potential
Festival of Light
Falinge Park High School took part in the atmospheric Festival of Light in Falinge Park on Friday the 29th of November 2019 from 5:30pm until 7:00pm. The festival featured workshops, stalls, refreshments and entertainment from a range of community organisations. The highlight of the evening was the Lantern Parade which took place around the park grounds and came to a close in front of the façade of the grand house. Thanks to all our students who took part in the lantern making workshops with the artist, Vicky Lomax and to those staff and students who came along on the evening and paraded the FPHS lanterns. Thanks also goes to the park organisation, Vintageworx and their staff for offering us the opportunity to participate. For more details about the event and the project, contact directly Mr De Courcey at school.
Following our recent involvement in The Festival of Light at Falinge Park in November, we are delighted to discover that our staff and students are recipients on an award by Rochdale’s Mayor for ‘The Most Creative Lanterns’. This award is the result of the hard work and efforts of staff and students combined and is a testament to the creative thinking shown by our learners. Well done to everyone involved and we look forward to further involvement in the future!
