Opening Doors; Unlocking Potential

FPHS 5 vs 9 Hollingworth

Tuesday 26th September saw Team Falinge continue their clinical form in front of goal.

Team Falinge began the game in blistering fashion racing into a 3-0 lead in the first 5 minutes. A superb Numair Hossain opener, was followed up by an Adam Khan double, one of which was the culmination of a fantastic team move.

As the boys tired after their exertions in the cross country earlier in the day Hollingworth came back into the game. Numair showed his class again by grabbing his second and the Falinge fourth goal.

Half-time 4-5 Half-time and Team Falinge were given some tactical insights from their many combined years of football development by The Management team of messrs Baron, Jundi and Hodgson.

Second half and the full squad was utilised. The second half was a much more tactical affair with Numair Hossain completing a well deserved hat trick. Although carrying an injury from the cross country run, man of the match Max Reeves showed the resilient attitude that epitomises the Team Falinge philosophy. The attitude throughout the game was once again exemplary and this stands us in good stead for the rest of this year and throughout their time at Falinge. Full time 5-9.

The Management are extremely please at the work ethic and excited by the free scoring nature of the team after only two games and no training session yet this term. Come down and cheer on the lads at next Tuesday’s league game away at Middleton Technology.

Squad: Coby Glennon, Adam Khan(c), Max Reeves, Farhad Asif, Owen Toyne, Ijaz Bashir, Terry Henry, George Roche, Numair Hossain, Ishaq Abdullah, Declan Bond, Haiydar Shahzada, Tyler Derbyshire and Mohsin Rauf.
