Falinge Park High School
Opening Doors; Unlocking Potential
Key Stage Three Awards Evening
On Thursday 14th November 2019, a memorable evening was shared by pupils, parents and staff who celebrated the successes of our key stage three cohort of 2018. Our heart space was transformed into a grand hall, equipped with a red carpet, to ensure our pupils received their certificates and prizes in style. Our guests of honour Farah Khan (Year 11 pupil) and Areeb Ishrat, a Falinge Park alumni who is currently at Rochdale Sixth Form College, delivered inspirational speeches about their experiences at our school. Below is an excerpt from Farah’s speech:
“In year 10, I realised that I wanted to pursue a career in politics. My teachers were so supportive of this and they demonstrated an unwavering belief in me. I was even lucky enough to have the opportunity to visit the House of Parliament in London and to see where hopefully, one day, I will have the chance to voice my opinions, to express my ideas, to make a difference. Falinge Park has equipped me with the confidence to feel that I matter. We, as a community, matter.”
Again, a massive congratulations to all the pupils who received an award. We look forward to see what you can achieve next year.
