School Noticeboard 21st May 2016

Well done to all the students in Year 7 who attended the CALL Liverpool Visit last week. Students worked hard through the day and saw a range of exciting and engaging exhibits based on the CALL curriculum. The winners of the learning booklets will be announced this week and each student chosen for the best booklet will receive a great prize and a certificate. Our Dance show, ‘Back2Back’ takes place on Monday evening and tickets are available from the CEPA Office, priced £4.00 (including refreshments). The show will feature dance performances from across the years and also incorporates a range of dance styles. For more details about the event, contact Ms Wystawnoha. The show takes place from 6.00pm until 8.00pm.

Tickets for our forthcoming dramas, ‘Scar of the Sabretooth’, ‘Dig 1916’ and Dig 2016’ are available from the CEPA Office, priced £3.50 (No concessions). Refreshments are served. The evening showcase takes place on Friday, the 10th of June 2016 and will feature a trio of prehistoric themed performances and will feature performances from Year 9 and Year 10 Drama students. Arts Award Club takes place every Friday after school in G3 and is open to all years. This term students will be busy preparing their folders for our Summer moderation. Good luck to all the students involved. For more details, please contact Mr Mvula and Mr De Courcey.

Our Arts and Mediterranean Night takes place on Wednesday 6th of July 2016 from 6.00pm until 8.00pm and the evening features a family quiz, themed entertainment and Greek, Spanish and Italian cuisine. Tickets cost £6.00 per person (including food and entry) and vegetarian options are available. Tickets are available in advance only and places are limited. Tickets can be bought directly from school or from the CEPA Office at breaktimes, lunchtimes or after school. See Mr De Courcey or Mr Mvula.

In tutor time this week, students have been completing the ‘Identity Bag’ challenge. The results of the challenge will be used to select Year 8 and Year 10 Values Champions for training on Tuesday the 24th of May from 11.00am until 1.00pm. On Thursday the 26th of May, we open our doors to Year 9 students from Kingsway Park School and Hulme Grammar School for a ‘British Values’ workshop.
