‘The Recall Project’ Session 2 with Seamus Kelly and ‘Can’t Dance Can’
A small group of learners from Year 9 and 10 joined students from Abraham Moss School, St. Ambrose Barlow and The Derby High School across Greater Manchester from the second session of our ‘Recall Project’ which aims to develop learner understanding of the AQA Poetry Anthology through the use of arts techniques. This week’s session involved workshops led by the poet, Seamus Kelly and the Rochdale based Dance organisation, ‘Can’t Dance Can’. Learners interpreted two set poems in different ways and took part in a series of video interviews to check their understanding of what they had learnt to date. Session 3 takes place in March with a focus on Music based approaches. For more details about the project, contact Mr De Courcey.
