What happens if I don’t get the school place I wanted?
As an oversubscribed school, we are privileged that so many families wish to join our community. However, this popularity regrettably means we are unable to offer a place to every child who applies.
We recognise that receiving news of an unsuccessful application can be deeply disappointing. To help you understand your options, we have provided information and guidance on the admissions appeals process.
It is important to be well informed about the likelihood of a successful appeal. In 2025 the statistics show that only 10% of appeals across the entire borough were successful.

Appeals
If you are not offered your preferred choice of school, you can appeal against the decision via the Rochdale Council Appeals Form.
